Our Mission

Our mission is to return each person to an active, pain-free lifestyle by encouraging participation in specific rehabilitative exercises, as well as gain an understanding of the injury or condition and how to best help yourself.

Physiotherapy Built Around You

At Advanced Physiotherapy, we believe effective rehabilitation starts with understanding the individual. Our registered physiotherapists provide thorough assessments to understand your symptoms, physical limitations, and goals before determining the most appropriate approach to your care.

Treatment is provided on a one-on-one basis and may incorporate manual therapy, targeted exercise, acupuncture, Functional Dry Needling/IMS, mechanical traction, K-taping, and other physiotherapy techniques when appropriate. Just as importantly, we encourage patients to take an active role in their recovery through exercise, ongoing communication, and a treatment plan that progresses with them.

Proudly Serving Barrhaven for More Than 25 Years

Advanced Physiotherapy has been part of the Barrhaven community since the 1990s. Over the years, we have helped people of all ages recover from a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

Our physiotherapists work with patients experiencing neck and back pain, sports injuries, muscle and joint injuries, concussions, headaches, motor vehicle injuries, and those requiring pre- or post-surgical rehabilitation. When beneficial to a patient’s recovery, we are also happy to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and personal trainers.

Our Approach to Your Recovery

Our goal is to help you do more than manage your immediate symptoms. We want to help you restore movement and function so you can safely get back to the activities that are important to you.

That means your care may include a combination of hands-on treatment and active rehabilitation. As you progress, your physiotherapist can adjust your treatment and exercises according to your response, abilities, and goals.

Whether you’re working toward returning to a sport, recovering after surgery, getting back to work after an injury, or simply wanting to move through everyday life more comfortably, your rehabilitation is built around what recovery means for you.

Making Physiotherapy Easier to Access

We want the administrative side of treatment to be as straightforward as possible. Advanced Physiotherapy offers direct billing for Veterans Affairs, DND, RCMP, motor vehicle injuries, and most private insurance companies.

Our clinic is conveniently located at 3780 Fallowfield Road in Barrhaven, just west of Greenbank Road.
